DOUBLE TROUBLE
Fox River • FOX RIVER BREWING • ABV: 8.2

To take a traditional style of beer, usually of ordinary strength, and make it Imperial is to essentially double the additions of ingredients. Common today are Imperial Stouts, Red Ales, Porters, and IPAs, which dominate the craft beer landscape; while the traditional Pale Ale is commonly overlooked for “Imperialization”. Double Trouble retains its pale ale roots while balancing high alcohol, hops, malt and fruity esters for a very unique pint.

Aroma is fruity with some alcohol character and a modest nose. High hop and alcohol levels determine the flavor, body is medium to full, and finish is clean and dry. For a full flavor experience Double Trouble is dry-hopped and served unfiltered, which explains the yeast and hop haze in the beer. Pairs well with rich, bold foods as well as an after dinner sipping beer, as this beer opens at warmer temperature
